This is a new recipe I made last week. My husband and I both thought it was pretty good. Unfortunately pictures of this don’t look too appetizing, but don’t let that stop you from making it yourself! I wrote this one on a card, which means I will definitely be making it again. It may be a once a month to every-other month meal. Enjoy!
3/4 lb ground beef
1/3 cup onion chopped
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
sprinkle of garlic powder
1/4 tsp oregano
1/4 cup water
1 tsp (or more) of Tabasco sauce
1 – 8 oz tomato sauce
1/2 envelop spaghetti sauce mix (didn’t know there was such a thing until this recipe…)
4 oz shredded mozzarella
Brown and drain beef. Add all above ingredients expect cheese and simmer for 10 minutes.
1/2 cup milk
1/2 Tbsp oil
Beat above and add:
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup flour
Pour hot meat mixture in greased 8×8 pan. Top with mozzarella cheese. Pour batter over cheese and sprinkle with 1/4 cup parmesan cheese.
Bake at 400 for 30 minutes until golden brown. Cut into squares to serve.
